They have great reviews and the property management told me to just call them but I was looking online for pictures or anything and can find nothing.

My friend is interested in starting a property management company. Where would he begin to find the necessary steps to start such a company? If there is any Additional advice that can be given, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

I’d like to buy a property in Canada and rent it out and am thinking of using a property management company to find the tennant, and deal with day to day issues.

Is it a percentage of the rent? Or is it a fixed fee? Actually is it worth using a property management company?

Thanks!

My fiance and I lease a property through a management service and liased last July to replace the sofa’s that were supplied with the property with newer and better ones as the one they gave us was disgusting. After having recent problems with them I have read through our contract only to find that changes need to be stipulated in writing, so when I asked them for this in writing they are refusing. They said that they have the notes on ‘our account’ and when I argued to say that I don’t have notes so I can’t prove anything they just kept saying ‘nothing will be put in writing’. When I said that it said in THEIR contract to be put in writing and asking if there was a reason WHY they couldn’t, he just kept saying ‘nothing will be put in writing’.

Does anyone know where I stand on this or who I can make an official complaint too because its completely unacceptable, I don’t trust them because they are trying to swindle us for every penny of our deposit.

If I dont pay and chose to quit then does this automatically terminate my lease and I am not responsible for the rest of the rents due throughout the lease. I already gave my thirty days notice because Im leaving next month anyway. First of all, the house I am leasing has been in NOD status since October and is now in Foreclosure process (the final foreclosure notice has not been posted/served yet). Considering the status of the home, I have given the property management company/agent my 30 day notice to vacate (My lease is up in June). I also withheld my March rent payment as I was told I didn’t have to pay rent to the owner if the home is in foreclosure. With this, I have just received a “Three-Day Notice To Pay Rent Or Quit” order on my door when I arrived home from work.

I have already purchased air fare tickets to fly home indefinitely. Considering I am breaking my lease and have given my 30 day notice to vacate, I am leaving regardless. SO, I’m thinking that it was actually in my favor for them to serve me this 3 day notice to pay rent or quit as NOW, once the three days past, and I don’t pay rent, THEY HAVE JUST TERMINATED MY LEASE and cannot go after me for rents up until my lease would have been up in June. Am I correct??

Also, if I choose to pay them rent for this month (March) then I am REINSTATING the lease correct? And this CANCELS the notice CORRECT?? And I am accountable for the rents due for the duration of my lease?

I’m leaving the state (CA) in April regardless so they will more than likely KEEP my security deposit. Should I choose to not respond to the notice and not pay them March rent as they are demanding OR should I pay them march rent and just vacate in April as planned?? After all, I did give them my 30 day notice to vacate and the home IS in foreclosure process.

can the agent of the property management company sign a lien being placed to a delinquent homeowner or does the HOA president have to sign the lien?
